John Summit Fort Lauderdale Concert reviews
Chris and Brittany both fantastic!
Brittany Howard and the guys were outstanding when Alabama Shakes went on first! Laying down a great jazzy folksy rhythm that they are so well known for. She may have even gotten a little more expressive being "blind" when Brittany lost her glasses, she kept right on going like a true pro. His playing and his voice spoke to thousands of souls as in unison we sang Ain't nobody to Blame and Traveller and many more when John Summit came on with his stripped down set and pure traditional country licks, he transformed a packed Marcus Amphitheater into an intimate rural honkytonk. It was so cool to know we affected him as much as he affected us, we were able to bring a tear to John's eye. Such a genuine guy who lives up to the lyrics he writes.
